Etihad Airways has partnered with Tunisair through a new codeshare agreement designed to enhance flight connectivity between Abu Dhabi and North Africa, meeting the rising travel demand across regions.
This collaboration allows passengers to book travel between Abu Dhabi and Tunis on either airline's code when flying on Etihad-operated flights. The ticketing strategy permits travelers to enjoy a unified check-in and streamlined baggage transfers to their ultimate destinations.
The deal covers Etihad's three weekly services on the Abu Dhabi–Tunis route, which commenced on November 1, 2025, utilizing the Airbus A321LR that offers First, Business, and Economy class options.
In comments regarding this agreement, Etihad Airways CEO Antonoaldo Neves expressed that the partnership increases accessibility for North African travelers to Abu Dhabi, noting a growing interest in the emirate for both business and leisure.
Similarly, Tunisair's CEO Halima Ibrahim Khouaja remarked that this partnership broadens travel possibilities by connecting the Maghreb region with the Gulf, emphasizing Abu Dhabi's significance as a strategic hub.
Tunisair boasts over 75 years of experience in the aviation sector, flying to various destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America. Meanwhile, Etihad Airways has forged more than 40 codeshare partnerships, facilitating access to over 500 global destinations.
