Post by : Mara Rahim

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has declared its full readiness to kick off the end-of-semester exams for the 2025-2026 academic year. This announcement was made during a coordination meeting organized by the Student Assessment Department, which brought together principals from national standard public and private secondary schools. The main objective of this meeting was to ensure all schools are familiar with the procedures and thoroughly ready for the upcoming exams.

Ibrahim Abdullah Al Mohannadi, the Director of the Student Assessment Department, delivered a comprehensive presentation during the session. He outlined the last steps taken by the Ministry, shared the approved examination schedule, and explained the essential guidelines that schools are required to adhere to. He emphasized that following these instructions is crucial to ensure a smooth examination experience for both students and educators. Early preparation of exam halls, maintenance of discipline, and fostering a calm environment are vital for ensuring fairness.

Al Mohannadi also pointed out that this year's examination procedures will feature specific guidelines for elective subjects, including grading methodologies, proper score recording, and adherence to the official timeline for grade submission and approval. The Ministry is committed to transparent and organized results management across all schools.

Critical regulations concerning exam committees were reviewed during the meeting. There was a clear reminder that invigilators must conduct themselves in a professional manner and assist students while upholding all regulations. A significant topic of discussion was the strict prohibition of electronic devices. Students are not permitted to bring mobile phones, smartwatches, headphones, or any devices that could disrupt the exam setting. This policy aims to maintain exam integrity and a secure assessment environment. The Ministry underscores the necessity of limiting electronic use to avert cheating and uphold examination standards.

School leaders engaged in an open dialogue at the conclusion of the meeting, raising questions, voicing concerns, and seeking clarifications about specific exam protocols. The Student Assessment Department addressed all inquiries, assuring schools of ongoing support throughout the examination period. The intention is to facilitate a smooth examination process in alignment with the Ministry’s high educational standards.

The Ministry is resolutely dedicated to ensuring that all schools are thoroughly prepared, students have a fair testing environment, and that the exam process is executed seamlessly. By offering robust guidelines, maintaining open communication, and providing detailed instructions, the Ministry is set to deliver an organized exam season that is beneficial for every student. This entire examination strategy showcases the Ministry’s commitment to quality education, efficient organization, and continuous enhancement of assessment methods.

With thorough coordination between the Ministry and schools, and students being supported under clear and updated rules, the upcoming exams are anticipated to unfold efficiently and professionally. This preparation illustrates the Ministry’s commitment to establishing a trustworthy education system that champions student success.
