Abu Dhabi Unveils Inaugural Autonomous Week Showcasing Future Mobility

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

The emirate of Abu Dhabi launched its inaugural Autonomous Week, an important event that underscores its role in pioneering smart and autonomous mobility solutions. Running from November 10 to 15, 2025, this week-long event gathers innovators, policymakers, and industry experts to discuss the forefront of autonomous technologies and intelligent transportation.

Notably, the opening ceremony saw His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan inaugurating the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Summit, a significant platform aimed at addressing transformative shifts in mobility, AI, and robotics.

The summit is packed with 13 panel discussions featuring over 30 distinguished speakers, examining how autonomous systems are revolutionizing the transport sector. These conversations focus on turning strategic visions into actionable solutions that elevate operational efficiency and promote a sustainable, knowledge-driven economy.

During the week, His Highness visited the DRIFTx exhibition, orchestrated by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), showcasing breakthrough innovations from both domestic and international firms. Live displays of ground-based autonomous systems, drone logistics, and advanced marine freight technologies highlighted the rapidly evolving realm of autonomous transport and supply chain management.

DRIFTx serves as an essential venue for investors and innovators to network, uncover new opportunities, and experience firsthand the technological advancements shaping the smart mobility landscape within the UAE and worldwide.

Abu Dhabi’s Autonomous Week epitomizes the emirate’s dedication to merging smart infrastructure, home-grown talent, and cutting-edge technologies, firmly establishing itself as a key hub for sustainable and innovative mobility solutions for the future.
