The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) welcomed the second edition of Cyber Q today, uniting experts in cybersecurity, quantum technology, and AI from over 100 nations. This three-day event, organized by the UAE Cybersecurity Council, addresses the fast-paced technological changes affecting global digital security.
The theme for this year, ‘Where Quantum, AI and Cybersecurity Converge’, sets the stage for in-depth dialogues on how these advancing technologies are revolutionizing data protection, network security, and infrastructure integrity. Delegates from across the globe are focusing on the rising impact of quantum computing and the sophistication of AI-led cyberattacks, now at the forefront of international security strategies.
Daily sessions delved into innovations in quantum encryption, the identification of weaknesses in older systems, and the critical shift towards post-quantum security models. Exhibitors presented cutting-edge solutions, including quantum-resilient communication technologies and automated encryption-discovery tools capable of identifying outdated security measures.
Additionally, several agreements were formed between government entities and private companies to enhance cybersecurity readiness and foster collaboration in digital defense. These partnerships aim to build a cohesive response framework, promote better information sharing, and underpin research into future-oriented security standards.
The workshops and simulations at the venue illustrated real-life scenarios featuring quantum threats and AI-based attacks, offering attendees a chance to refine their response tactics. Experts stressed the necessity for flexible infrastructures that can cope with technologies advancing quicker than conventional security protocols.
As Cyber Q unfolds, the emphasis remains on preparing digital infrastructures for a future dominated by quantum computing and artificial intelligence, critical both for innovation and security risks. The event positions the UAE as a vital hub for shaping the global landscape of cybersecurity.
