Dubai's flydubai airline is set to revolutionize its inflight internet service by introducing Starlink, the satellite internet solution by SpaceX. This agreement, revealed during the Dubai Airshow 2025, represents a significant advance in delivering high-speed broadband connectivity across the airline's fleet of Boeing 737 jets.
The service is expected to roll out in 2026, with an initial focus on outfitting 100 aircraft. Travelers will benefit from an uninterrupted connection suitable for streaming, video conferencing, online gaming, and other data-intensive activities, elevating the standards of onboard internet in the Middle East.
With Starlink, flydubai aims to replicate the high-speed internet experience typically found at home, providing a reliable and low-latency connection for both passengers and crew. The setup process is streamlined to ensure minimal downtime for aircraft.
This initiative is part of flydubai’s extensive strategy to harness technology for an improved travel experience. By integrating high-speed Wi-Fi, the airline seeks to bolster its competitive edge in an industry where connectivity is essential for both vacationers and business travelers.
With over 100 destinations in its service network, the partnership with Starlink positions flydubai to meet the rising expectations of passengers for consistent high-quality internet access, further establishing Dubai as a leader in modern aviation and innovation.
