Etihad Airways Secures Top Spot in Global Airline Rankings for 2025

Post by : Mara Rahim

Etihad Airways has been awarded the prestigious recognition of being among the top airlines worldwide in the 2025 AirHelp Score, achieving a remarkable score of 8.07 out of 10. This notable improvement of nine places from the previous year underscores Etihad's relentless dedication to enhancing passenger experience.

The AirHelp Score is acknowledged as one of the leading benchmarks for airline performance globally. It measures airlines based on three critical criteria: on-time performance, customer feedback, and the effectiveness of compensation claim management during flight disruptions. The ranking derives from data gathered between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025, alongside surveys conducted with over 11,500 passengers across more than 60 countries.

This outstanding ranking comes during a transformative year for Etihad, which expanded its fleet to 120 state-of-the-art aircraft, broadened its network to over 100 destinations globally, and reported a 19% increase in passenger numbers year-on-year. Even amidst rapid expansion, Etihad successfully upheld high levels of punctuality, customer service, and overall passenger satisfaction.

Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, “Ascending to one of the top two airlines across the globe is a truly significant milestone for us. It reflects our unwavering commitment to ensuring our guests reach their destinations without delay while delivering warm hospitality at every turn. This accomplishment is a testament to each team member’s efforts to create positive flying experiences.”

Tomasz Pawliszyn, CEO of AirHelp, commended Etihad's ascent, noting that “Etihad Airways’ elevation to second place with an overall score of 8.07 is impressive. An advancement of nine positions in just one year showcases their deep commitment to passenger experience, reliability, and satisfaction. As aviation evolves, the 2025 AirHelp Score highlights airlines that meet contemporary passenger expectations of accountability, transparency, and reliability.”

The AirHelp Score encompasses various dimensions of airline performance. The customer opinion rating assesses feedback related to cabin crew service, comfort, cleanliness, food quality, and in-flight entertainment. Furthermore, the efficiency of claim processing is measured to ascertain how airlines handle compensation fairly and effectively amid flight disruptions. Etihad’s distinguished ranking stems from its strong performance in these areas, illustrating a comprehensive focus on service, reliability, and excellence in operations.

This recognition places Etihad among the elite in global aviation and reinforces its commitment to enhancing the travel experience. With this impressive ranking, Etihad demonstrates that rapid growth can coexist with exceptional service standards in the airline industry.

By prioritizing on-time performance, efficient claim processing, and passenger satisfaction, Etihad Airways showcases its dedication to catering to the demands of today’s travelers. The 2025 AirHelp Score honors airlines that successfully combine operational dependability with exceptional service, reaffirming Etihad's status among the world's foremost carriers.
