Today, ENOC Group, a prominent energy company, observes Earth Day 2026 by celebrating over ten years of energy efficiency improvements in its operations. This year’s Earth Day theme is “Our Power, Our Planet.”
Energy efficiency has been integral to ENOC's operations for years, as the company continually incorporates energy-saving methods into its infrastructure, systems, and strategic planning.
In honor of Earth Day, ENOC held specialized toolbox discussions on energy efficiency at various operational sites. These gatherings engaged frontline staff, emphasizing the application of the company's Energy and Resource Management (E&RM) practices.
Hussain Sultan Lootah, CEO of ENOC Group, emphasized the day serves as a crucial reminder of our collective duty to enhance energy efficiency. He reaffirmed ENOC's commitment to integrating sustainability, following Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the UAE's Net Zero by 2050 goals.
The Energy and Resource Management (E&RM) framework has significantly reduced energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions throughout its refineries, terminals, retail ventures, and headquarters. The initiative has generated AED 478 million in savings, demonstrating that efforts toward sustainability complement operational efficiency.
Looking to the future, ENOC Group is enhancing its climate-related reporting and governance approaches following IFRS S1 and S2 standards to maintain transparency and usefulness in sustainability metrics for stakeholders.
