Rally racer Nora Al Jassasi is prepared to create history as the first Emirati woman to take part in the FIA Middle East Baja Cup 2026. The championship kicks off with its inaugural round in Hail, Saudi Arabia, come January, followed by another round in Aqaba, Jordan, in February. This participation is a significant achievement for women in motorsports within the UAE and the surrounding region.
Al Jassasi's entry into the 2026 series was secured following an impressive showing at the Dubai International Baja 2025. Competing for the third time at this event, she achieved a third-place finish in the SSV T4 category and placed 21st overall. As the sole Emirati woman in the race, her tenacity and talent stood out in a fierce competitive environment.
The Dubai Baja 2025 featured a challenging 400-kilometre course with swift dunes, smooth tracks, and rough sand dunes.
