The Community Development Authority (CDA) has inaugurated the ‘Nuwat Dubai’ program under the Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Family Programme, reinforcing its commitment to fostering family stability and enhancing community welfare in Dubai.
The launch event gathered representatives from essential organizations, strategic allies, and community members. This initiative resonates with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, aimed at bolstering families through sustainable social development projects that prioritize family unity and mental wellbeing.
Hosted at Coffee Lab, the launch featured a variety of engaging activities aimed at different demographic groups. These included personality assessment sessions, consultations on family and mental health, social advisory programs, community contests, and prize distributions supported by National Bonds.
The activities fostered a participatory atmosphere where families could engage with the initiative’s aims of enhancing familial relationships and increasing social consciousness.
Dr. Namaa Al Shamsi, the Director of the Family Development Department at the CDA, emphasized that this initiative is a crucial leap forward in supporting families as the bedrock of a robust and resilient society.
She noted that this initiative embodies Dubai’s leadership ambition to invest in its people while elevating family and social wellbeing. Furthermore, she reaffirmed CDA’s pledge to crafting sustainable programs that enhance both the psychological and social steadiness of families, while fostering better communication between them and social support systems.
Dr. Al Shamsi also mentioned that this initiative aligns with CDA’s broader objective of establishing a comprehensive social services framework that meets community demands. Ensuring safe and supportive environments for families is a foundational aspect of sustainable social development in Dubai.
The ‘Nuwat Dubai’ initiative is just one of the numerous community programs launched by the CDA that aim to enhance family cohesion, elevate social awareness, and assist families in negotiating social and psychological obstacles through innovative and sustainable methodologies.
