By the end of the academic year 2024-25, Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park have welcomed over 38,500 students, marking a 15% growth from the previous year. This impressive figure reinforces Dubai's status as a leading global center for higher education.
The regions collectively draw learners from more than 170 nations, with over 600 academic programs available, ranging from bachelor's degrees to doctorates, provided by esteemed universities and vocational schools.
Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, the Senior Vice President of these educational districts, stated, "The diverse skill sets of our students reflect Dubai’s magnetism for the world's top talent. Our hub cultivates innovation and prepares students with skills pertinent to the future, supporting initiatives like the Dubai Economic Agenda 'D33' and the Education Strategy 'E33'."
Notable universities in the area include Amity University, Curtin University, Heriot-Watt University Dubai, Middlesex University Dubai, Murdoch University Dubai, University of Birmingham Dubai, and University of Wollongong Dubai. Prestigious postgraduate courses are conducted by such institutions as IIMA, University of Manchester Dubai, University of Bradford, and University of Strathclyde Business School UAE.
Moreover, the districts are home to various vocational and training establishments such as ACCA Middle East, Alliance Française, City & Guilds, and the International Centre for Culinary Arts.
While Dubai International Academic City is known for its outstanding academic facilities complete with tailored campuses and laboratories, Dubai Knowledge Park prioritizes continuous education featuring premium offices, community amenities, and retail services.
Both centers coordinate engaging events like Campus Talks, connecting students with industry figures, and UNCOVERED, a skill competition offering cash prizes. The Knowledge Assembly unites leaders from academia, business, and government to spearhead projects such as the Higher Education Leadership Network.
Students and faculty enjoy the advantages of TECOM Group’s ecosystem, ensuring easy access to corporate and government services via axs, and entrepreneurship initiatives through in5, facilitating the launch of original concepts. A notable example is Relphacare Technologies, a start-up founded by a student at Amity University Dubai.
Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park are integral components of TECOM Group's Education Cluster, which also encompasses additional significant business regions in Dubai, including Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Dubai Production City, Dubai Studio City, Dubai Science Park, Dubai Design District (d3), and Dubai Industrial City.
