Within a year of its introduction, Dubai Traders has become a central growth lever for Dubai’s small and medium enterprises, helping over 2,400 companies list on major e‑commerce marketplaces and reach a broad consumer base. The initiative supports the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) to double the emirate’s economy by 2033.
Through strategic partnerships with Amazon and noon, the programme provides full onboarding, licensing assistance, marketing credits, preferential product placement and dedicated account teams. These interventions have improved merchant visibility, encouraged use of fulfilment solutions and lifted sales during peak trading periods.
More than 1,000 incumbent sellers received bespoke growth assistance, and 370 Emirati-owned enterprises came on board in the first year, highlighting the programme’s emphasis on empowering local entrepreneurs.
Performance on noon was notable: 42% of sellers broadened their product categories, 63% increased SKU counts, and approximately one-third reported a multiple-fold rise in monthly gross merchandise value within a month of joining. Over 300 Emirati businesses also adopted noon Minutes to strengthen fast last-mile delivery capabilities.
Results on Amazon were similarly strong. Emirati-owned firms made up 23% of new sellers and women-led businesses accounted for 35%. One in three sellers listing more than five products reached top-tier sales in their categories, 15% expanded into international markets, and a further 40% are preparing to sell abroad.
Looking ahead, Amazon and noon plan to broaden account management services, expand seller segments, pilot financial solutions to ease micro-enterprise cash flow, and continue training clinics focused on logistics, branding and global expansion — measures that aim to sustain scalable growth.
By linking Dubai’s entrepreneurs with global marketplaces, Dubai Traders is converting local innovation into measurable revenue and reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading hub for digital commerce.
