Dubai Maritime City, an ambitious project by DP World, has inaugurated its Maritime Business Centre 2 (MBC-2), an impressive commercial tower developed with an investment of AED 160 million.
Completed in just 20 months, MBC-2 has demonstrated strong demand with 78% of its office space leased prior to its official opening. This reflects the rising interest in premium office environments within Dubai’s key business areas.
Situated in the Commercial District of Dubai Maritime City, the centre offers 125 high-end office units that range from 40 to 980 square metres. The tower boasts waterfront views, designed to accommodate a variety of business needs.
The office spaces are divided into two categories: the first comprises fully equipped plug-and-play offices, enabling businesses to commence operations immediately. The second category offers shell-and-core spaces, allowing tenants the freedom to customize their work environments.
Amenities include a wellness floor featuring a gym, recreational areas, retail outlets, and food and beverage options. Moreover, the building provides 480 parking spaces, including designated spots for electric and hybrid vehicles and for People of Determination. Smart energy-saving systems are also integrated into the building.
With the headquarters of Dubai Maritime City and Jafza’s licensing department now located in MBC-2, the tower serves as a pivotal centre for maritime business activities and client services.
According to Ahmed Al Hammadi, COO of Dubai Maritime City, the high demand for MBC-2 reflects strong investor faith in the region as a premier destination for maritime and trade enterprises. He emphasized that the development enhances connectivity for companies wishing to operate near ports and logistical hubs.
The opening event was marked by attendance from senior officials from DP World and other related agencies, underscoring the project's significance for Dubai’s evolving maritime and logistics sector.
With this opening, Dubai Maritime City solidifies its role as an essential hub for maritime, logistics, and trade businesses, aligning with DP World’s broader vision of developing integrated economic zones worldwide.
