Collaboration between Dubai CDA and Louis Vuitton to Enhance Emirati Employment

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

The Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai has officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the renowned luxury brand Louis Vuitton, aiming to significantly enhance career opportunities for Emirati citizens and People of Determination.

This strategic collaboration is designed to explore new employment avenues in key sectors, including retail, fashion, and craftsmanship. It also aligns with Dubai’s overarching vision to foster an inclusive society and enhance its global standing in social and economic empowerment.

According to the agreement, Emirati workers will receive training in essential skills such as tailoring, repairs, craftsmanship, inventory management, retail sales, and communication. Furthermore, the initiative prioritizes the integration of People of Determination into the labor market by providing tailored training programs, assistive technologies, and specialized workplace support.

Additionally, this partnership is set to foster long-term career advancement, encourage corporate social responsibility, and bolster volunteer efforts, with a pronounced emphasis on women’s empowerment and inclusion.

Maitha Al Shamsi, the Executive Director of the Community Empowerment Sector at CDA, emphasized that this collaboration showcases their commitment to supporting Emiratis through practical skills training and sustainable job access. She noted that partnering with global brands enhances public-private sector synergy and empowers individuals to meaningfully contribute to the economy and society.

Miguel Vargas, the Managing Director of Louis Vuitton Middle East, affirmed the brand's dedication to fostering Emirati talent and promoting inclusivity. He remarked that this initiative will create tangible career pathways in areas like retail and customer service, ultimately helping individuals build their confidence and independence.

This MoU is consistent with the goals outlined in the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which aims to empower Emiratis, boost their economic engagement, and cultivate a balanced, sustainable society.

Both CDA and Louis Vuitton are committed to generating lasting social and economic benefits, particularly for youth and People of Determination, through skill development, job creation, and knowledge exchange.
