Dubai International Airport (DXB) is poised for an extraordinary influx of travelers as the year draws to a close, with estimates indicating that more than 10 million passengers could pass through its facilities from November 27 to December 31, 2025.
The travel peak will kick off with the UAE’s Eid Al Etihad extended weekend, where daily averages are expected to reach approximately 294,000 passengers, before further escalating throughout December. The airport is on track to record its busiest month ever, with over 8.7 million expected travelers, particularly with December 20 forecasted as the busiest single day, handling around 303,000 passengers.
Outbound travel will dominate in the days leading to the Eid weekend, as residents take advantage of the break for short trips. However, mid-December will see a notable shift, as inbound travel surges, driven by Dubai’s festive events, shopping festivals, and seasonal celebrations.
To accommodate the anticipated increase, airport operations are being optimized for a smoother experience, prioritizing efficient check-ins, security processes, and enhanced services across all terminals. A cooperative effort among airlines, control authorities, commercial partners, and airport service personnel is underway to ensure travelers face minimal disruptions.
For both leisure and business passengers, the holiday season is set to deliver a lively and well-managed airport atmosphere, underscoring Dubai's status as a global travel center.
