Drydocks World Unveils Plans for State-of-the-Art Dubai Headquarters

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

Drydocks World has embarked on the construction of its new headquarters in Dubai, aiming to revolutionize its operations and boost the maritime industry in the city. Set to be completed in early 2027, this facility will bring together around 700 employees, designed to improve collaboration, communication, and operational efficiency.

Covering 44,779 square metres on a 13,390-square-metre site adjacent to the existing shipyard, the contemporary office is strategically located for convenient access while keeping it clear of bustling fabrication areas. Direct routes from Jumeirah Beach Road will facilitate visitor and client access without affecting safety or business operations.

At the heart of the headquarters' design is sustainability, aiming for LEED Gold certification. It will incorporate energy-efficient technologies, smart ventilation systems, enhanced safety protocols, and 50 electric vehicle charging stations amid approximately 500 parking spaces. The layout will feature open-plan workspaces, diverse meeting rooms, dining options, fitness centers, and prayer areas to create a harmonious and collaborative atmosphere.

This new headquarters aligns with DP World’s global headquarters currently being built at Expo City Dubai, showcasing a broader initiative to develop sustainable workplaces within the Group.

Drydocks World’s expansion signifies its longstanding commitment to the maritime development of Dubai, having contributed for over 40 years to intricate ship repairs, conversions, and offshore endeavors. This new headquarters is a testament to its enduring legacy while also fostering a visionary approach to operational excellence, innovation, and sustainability within the UAE.
