Tragic Audi Crash Claims One Life, Injures 15 in Jaipur

A tragic incident unfolded in Jaipur, Rajasthan on Friday night when a speeding Audi collided with a crowd, resulting in one fatality and 15 injuries.

Authorities report the luxury vehicle lost control after hitting a road divider, careening through food stalls over nearly 30 meters before finally crashing into a tree. Numerous parked cars were also damaged in the chaos, leaving the Audi utterly wrecked.

Images from the scene depict a disturbing sight of toppled food carts, underscoring the seriousness of the accident.

A total of 16 individuals were affected and quickly transported to a local hospital. Four sustained serious injuries and were later directed to Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital for enhanced medical care. Unfortunately, one of the victims, Ramesh Bairwa from Bhilwara, succumbed to his injuries.

Police have reported that there were four individuals in the vehicle at the time, all suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. One suspect has been detained, while the other three have fled and are currently being pursued.

The driver has been identified as Dinesh Ranwan from Churu district in Rajasthan. Authorities have secured the vehicle as part of their investigation.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed his condolences regarding the tragedy, directing officials to provide necessary medical assistance to the injured. Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar also visited the hospital to review the victims' conditions.

Police confirmed that an extensive investigation is in progress, ensuring that those responsible will face appropriate consequences.
