K-pop sensation BTS has officially revealed plans for a monumental 79-show world tour, marking their highly anticipated return to the global stage after a significant four-year hiatus from live performances. This announcement has ignited enthusiasm among fans worldwide, heralding the group’s full reunion and a fresh chapter in their illustrious career.
The tour is set to commence with three consecutive shows at South Korea’s Goyang Stadium, starting April 9, 2026. From there, BTS will journey across Asia, Europe, and North America, hitting some of the world’s most prominent music hubs. Major cities confirmed in the tour itinerary include London, Tokyo, Munich, Sydney, and Los Angeles, showcasing the extensive scope and ambition behind their comeback. With close to 80 performances lined up, this is poised to be one of the most significant and discussed tours of the coming year.
This tour also represents BTS’s first performances outside South Korea and the United States since 2019. Their previous tour was a remarkable success, shattering records for K-pop acts and amassing approximately $246 million globally. During that run, BTS etched their name in history as the first Korean group to headline London’s iconic Wembley Stadium, solidifying their stature as global superstars.
Expected to feature a 360-degree, in-the-round stage setup, the upcoming concerts will allow fans an immersive viewing experience, enabling them to see the band from all angles. This design will also enhance seating capacity at venues, providing more fans the opportunity to attend. In the UK, BTS is scheduled to grace the stage for two nights at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 6 and 7, while the European leg will also see stops in Paris, Madrid, Brussels, and Munich.
The group has hinted at the possibility of announcing additional dates for Japan, the Middle East, and other areas in 2027. Tickets for fan club members are set to go on sale from January 22, with general ticket sales commencing two days later. Industry forecasts suggest that this tour could rake in over $1 billion in revenue through concert sales, merchandise, and music sales, underlining BTS’s unparalleled global appeal.
