Bella Thorne Supports Priyanka Chopra Amidst PR Controversy

Bella Thorne Supports Priyanka Chopra Amidst PR Controversy

Post by : Mina Rahman

In a recent social media uproar, Bella Thorne has decisively stepped in to support Priyanka Chopra, whose nostalgic airport video was called into question by fans who suggested it was choreographed for publicity.

The controversy ignited online after an older clip depicted Priyanka exiting an airport, where two fans approached her for autographs—first at the entrance and moments later for a second interaction, stirring skepticism about the authenticity of the events. Critics argued that such staged moments were devised by her PR team to create publicity, leading to an extensive conversation on various platforms labeling it a “manipulated PR strategy.”

Thorne addressed the viral narrative in a comment, defending Priyanka by stating, “That’s not a PR stunt. Fans follow you throughout the terminal, and they also sell those items online.”

She elaborated, “The signatures are often on blank papers. These can be manipulated digitally, but I genuinely doubt she has any motives for staging. She’s simply being kind, signing again while being surrounded by fans.”

On the professional front, Priyanka Chopra is gearing up for her re-entry into Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s Telugu project Varanasi, featuring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, timed for a Sankranthi 2027 release. She will play the role of Mandakini, alongside Babu as Rudhra and Sukumaran as Kumbha.

Globally, Priyanka will star in The Bluff as a 19th-century pirate and is also engaged in the second season of the web series Citadel. She was recently featured in Heads of State with Idris Elba and John Cena, now available on Prime Video.
