Launch of Barakat Al Seha: A Health Initiative for UAE Families

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

In a significant community-driven initiative, SEHA CLINICS, a division of PureHealth, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), has unveiled Barakat Al Seha — a wellness book dedicated to fostering accessible, sustainable health practices deeply rooted in Emirati culture for families throughout the UAE.

The book integrates halal-compliant Emirati recipes with essential lifestyle advice on nutrition, physical activity, mental health, and daily habits, serving as a user-friendly resource for families seeking improved health in their everyday routines. Crafted by PureHealth's team under the guidance of certified dietitians, it effectively links clinical health recommendations with practical applications.

In alignment with the UAE's Year of the Community and the National Wellbeing Strategy 2031, Barakat Al Seha emphasizes a proactive approach to health. Additionally, it fits seamlessly into SEHA CLINICS’ primary care framework, offering patients opportunities for follow-ups with nutrition and mental health specialists. Printed editions are now distributed across SEHA CLINICS, schools, governmental channels, and at community events in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

This initiative also supports the ADPHC’s SEHHI programme, which assists consumers in identifying healthier food choices through effective nutrition labelling in local dining establishments and food products. With the SEHHI’s endorsement, this book provides trustworthy guidance while encouraging enduring, impactful lifestyle adjustments.

By merging expert health insights with culturally significant practices, Barakat Al Seha not only supports families in making healthier decisions but also encapsulates PureHealth’s vision of infusing prevention, longevity, and wellness into everyday life, fostering a future where knowledgeable, simple actions pave the way for substantial positive change.
