Abu Dhabi and Asia House Join Forces to Enhance Global Economic Connectivity

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

In a bid to enhance its international economic presence, Abu Dhabi's Department of Economic Development (ADDED) has entered into a strategic agreement with Asia House during the Abu Dhabi Finance Week 2025. This initiative combines the economic acumen of Abu Dhabi with the global research capabilities of Asia House to promote collaborative efforts in trade, investment, and support for SMEs.

The agreement is designed to create more robust channels for knowledge exchange, which will enable Abu Dhabi to better assess global markets, understand emerging economic routes, and formulate data-driven policies. Additionally, this cooperation looks to elevate the impact of SMEs and private enterprises in contributing to economic expansion, aligning with the emirate’s broader strategy of diversification.

As part of the MoU, ADDED and Asia House will focus on critical themes such as trade facilitation, logistics, advancements in the digital economy, services trade, and the development of strategic value chains. The collaboration is aimed at generating research and analytic insights to assist future policymaking and business growth, especially for SMEs seeking to penetrate international markets.

Asia House will serve as a vital research collaborator, providing intelligence on crucial areas within Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. This will bolster Abu Dhabi's status as a global innovation, investment, and trade hub by enhancing market knowledge and enabling well-informed decisions across its economic landscape.

As part of this cooperative endeavor, both entities plan to host specialized roundtables, workshops, and dialogues among stakeholders. These interactions will engage government agencies, industry leaders, and international partners to explore new opportunities and develop frameworks for sustained economic collaboration.

This partnership marks a pivotal step in Abu Dhabi’s commitment to enhancing its competitiveness, advancing sustainable economic growth, and solidifying its role in shaping the emerging dynamics of global economic networks.
