During the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, held a meeting with Wang Chuanfu, Chairman, CEO, and Co-Founder of BYD.
The discussions centered on enhancing collaboration and exchanging knowledge within the electric and hybrid vehicle manufacturing arena. They explored opportunities for creating a progressive industrial ecosystem that stimulates economic expansion and draws in distinguished global firms toward prioritizing national economic sectors.
Additionally, both parties reviewed initiatives to bolster sustainability endeavors and expedite the transition to eco-friendly mobility solutions fueled by alternative energy. These initiatives are in line with the UAE's Net Zero by 2050 Strategy, emphasizing a commitment to a balanced approach integrating environmental conservation with economic growth at local, regional, and global levels.
The meeting was also attended by notable figures including Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Dr. Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy; and Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Office of the Crown Prince.
