On Monday morning, eight Palestinians were shot and killed by Israeli forces near the city of Rafah, which is in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. These people were waiting in a group to receive food aid near a US aid center located west of Rafah. Suddenly, Israeli soldiers opened fire on the crowd.
Since October 2023, the violence and attacks by Israeli forces in Gaza have caused a great number of deaths and injuries. So far, there have been at least 54,880 recorded deaths among Palestinians, and more than 126,227 people have been hurt.
This tragic event shows how difficult life has become for many people in Gaza, especially those trying to get help like food. The situation remains very dangerous and worrying for the people living there.
