Wonderland Entertainment City Unveiled at Sheikh Zayed Festival

Post by : Mara Rahim

On the occasion of its inauguration, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National Anti-Narcotics Authority, formally launched the Wonderland Entertainment City in Al Wathba. Accompanied by Hamid Saeed Al Neyadi and other dignitaries, Sheikh Zayed explored the facility and assessed its latest entertainment offerings, all crafted using cutting-edge technology to develop a vibrant, family-friendly locale. He commended this initiative as a remarkable enhancement to the Sheikh Zayed Festival.

The festival's Higher Committee confirmed that Wonderland opened its doors to the public on December 5, having finalized all preparations. This entertainment zone is a significant addition for the 2025–2026 festival edition, designed to expand recreational choices for tourists and families alike. Covering a sprawling area, it boasts vibrant walkways, seating areas, and convenient access from the main plaza, ensuring it serves as a centerpiece for visitor enjoyment.

Wonderland features various attractions catering to all age demographics, such as a roller coaster, ice skating rink, haunted house, mirror maze, dinosaur park, bumper cars, archery area, skill games, Net Maze, pony rides, and an electronic gaming hall. There's also a specialized bowling area with advanced lanes for adults and a colorful bowling hall designed with children in mind. These amenities aim to create a fun-filled and safe environment for shared family experiences and friendly competitions.

Each attraction within Wonderland adheres to stringent safety and quality measures. Dedicated teams oversee operations, assist visitors, and ensure the smooth flow throughout the venue. Pathways, cafes, and snack stalls are strategically positioned to enhance convenience and enjoyment. According to the Higher Committee, the inauguration of Wonderland is part of a broader strategy to enrich entertainment selections for festival attendees through innovative zones and experiences that resonate with families, youths, and children. This addition further solidifies the festival's status as a premier cultural and leisure hub that unites heritage, arts, culture, and entertainment.

The Sheikh Zayed Festival welcomes guests daily from 4 pm to midnight, extending to 1 am on weekends and public holidays. Wonderland continues to operate throughout the festival's hours at Al Wathba, offering a comprehensive family entertainment experience for visitors from the UAE and beyond.
