Thailand's Welfare Registration Sees Over 8.86 Million Participants

Post by : Shakul

According to the Ministry of Finance in Thailand, the 2026 State Welfare Registration Project has witnessed an impressive turnout, with over 8.86 million current State Welfare Card holders completing their registrations in just the first two days. This initiative seeks to guarantee that eligible citizens maintain access to government aid and welfare services.

As reported by Deputy Permanent Secretary Atthapol Atthaworadej, by midnight on June 5, 2026, a total of 8,865,427 registrations had been logged. A significant number of these applications were submitted via online platforms, indicating a notable shift towards digital government engagement in Thailand.

Of the registered candidates, over 8.45 million have successfully verified their eligibility. However, around 410,699 applicants still lack complete verification and are encouraged to finalize their registrations before the impending deadline.

The data reveals that applications came through various channels, including official welfare websites, government mobile apps, the Paotang app, and ATMs affiliated with participating banks like Krung Thai Bank. Citizens have been advised to routinely check their registration status via these available platforms.

Officials note that those who receive notifications of incorrect identification information should restart their registrations through any sanctioned channels. Applicants still in the verification process are urged to check their status again the next day.

The Ministry has stressed the necessity of meticulously reviewing all entered details prior to confirming registration. Individuals are also encouraged to monitor their registration status until receiving a definitive confirmation message to mitigate any complications during the eligibility evaluation.

The final results regarding eligibility for the 2026 State Welfare Registration Project are expected to be revealed on July 17, 2026. Authorities are optimistic that this initiative will substantially contribute to supporting low-income families and fortifying Thailand’s social welfare framework.
