Vodafone Group has agreed to acquire cloud services provider Skaylink from private equity firm Waterland in a transaction valued at €175 million ($203 million). The deal is intended to broaden the UK telecom group’s enterprise and digital capabilities across European markets.
Headquartered in Germany and active in multiple European countries, Skaylink specialises in enterprise cloud transformation, managed cloud services and digital infrastructure. Vodafone says the purchase will fortify its Business Division by integrating advanced cloud solutions with existing connectivity services.
Vodafone anticipates the acquisition will provide corporate and public-sector customers with more cohesive and scalable digital platforms, helping accelerate cloud uptake and enhancing flexibility in data and application management. The move also strengthens Vodafone’s presence in Germany, a central market for its European operations.
The agreement is binding and remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions, with completion expected by the end of March 2026. Once finalised, Skaylink will be incorporated into Vodafone’s expanding portfolio of enterprise technology and services.
This transaction is consistent with Vodafone’s wider strategy to move beyond traditional telecommunications and develop into a technology-led communications partner for European businesses.
