Post by : Shweta

In a disturbing incident in North York on Sunday evening, an infant and two adults were hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle. Emergency services rushed to the site near Caledonia Road and Glengrove Avenue West, where multiple pedestrians were struck.

Toronto Police have reported that four individuals were injured in the incident, including an infant, a woman in her 20s, and a man in his 20s. All three were taken to the hospital for medical assistance, while a fourth person suffered minor injuries and was evaluated on-site.

Initially, paramedics indicated that the infant and woman appeared to have serious, potentially life-threatening injuries, whereas the man's injuries were serious but not life-threatening. Subsequent updates from authorities revealed that all injuries are now classified as non-life-threatening.

The driver involved remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Police have yet to disclose the circumstances leading to the collision, which remains under investigation.

A portion of the roadway was temporarily closed as officers collected evidence and conducted their inquiries. It is unclear at this moment if any charges will be brought against the driver.

This incident has reignited concerns about pedestrian safety in urban locales, prompting officials to further analyze the factors contributing to such unexpected accidents.
