Humaid Air Bridge Concludes 600 Tonnes Humanitarian Mission to Gaza

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, the “Humaid Air Bridge” has effectively completed its mission by delivering over 600 tonnes of crucial humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

This significant relief effort spanned more than two months, facilitating the transport of essential food and humanitarian supplies to the Egyptian city of Al Arish. From there, assistance was organized for further entry into Gaza in collaboration with the relevant authorities.

The operation included the dispatch of approximately 30,000 food parcels, tailored to address the immediate needs of Palestinian families. It is projected that this extensive support will benefit over 150,000 individuals.

Several humanitarian organizations from the UAE were instrumental throughout this campaign, such as the Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Charitable Foundation, International Charity Organisation, Emirates Red Crescent in Ajman, Al Ihsan Charity Association, and Al Etihad Charity Foundation.

This initiative aligns with the UAE’s wider humanitarian strategy under “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3”, initiated under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The mission encompasses air and sea relief operations, “Birds of Goodness” aid drops, support for both field and floating hospitals, along with several humanitarian programs designed to alleviate the hardships faced by the Palestinian populace.
