UAE and Lithuania Enhance Economic Collaboration

Post by : Bianca Suleiman

A significant milestone in UAE-Lithuania economic relations was achieved in Vilnius with the convening of the second UAE–Lithuania Business Council Meeting yesterday. This key event gathered prominent figures from public and private sectors, underscoring a mutual dedication to enhancing trade, investment, and cooperative business initiatives.

Hosted by the Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, the meeting provided an organized forum for businesses to investigate joint ventures, share knowledge, and deliberate on strategies to fortify economic connections. Over 30 Lithuanian companies took part, spanning diverse fields such as furniture, real estate, and tourism, highlighting the vast opportunities that lie ahead.

Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Vice Chairman of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce, underscored the need for ongoing dialogue within business communities. He pointed out that the council acts as a conduit for Emirati and Lithuanian entrepreneurs to pursue investment opportunities and enhance trade activities across crucial sectors.

The talks also included an increasing emphasis on technological advancements and clean-energy investments, deemed essential for future collaboration. Bilateral discussions and presentations illuminated potential partnerships and market insights, paving the way for enduring alliances.

As both nations exhibit a strong commitment to diversifying economic connections, the council is poised to significantly impact fostering private-sector collaborations, promoting innovation, and supporting sustained economic advancement.
