On World Environment Day, June 5, 2025, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra and Chairman of the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, spoke about how important it is for countries to work together to protect the environment.
He said the UAE’s leaders are very serious about joining forces with the world to fight climate change. This shows the UAE’s strong role in creating a safe and healthy future for everyone, especially for the next generations.
His Highness also said that the UAE is a great example for the world because it uses smart ideas and new technologies to protect the environment. The UAE is leading many important efforts to stop climate problems and protect the planet.
This year, World Environment Day’s theme is “Putting an End to Plastic Pollution.” The day reminds us all to stop using harmful plastics that pollute the earth and oceans.
Sheikh Hamdan’s message highlights the UAE’s commitment to taking care of nature and inspiring others to do the same.
