Washington, Nov 13, 2025 — The Trump administration has publicly endorsed Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for his innovative approach to public health, showcasing robust backing for his continuous reforms. Kennedy, a controversial figure who challenges mainstream medical conventions and advocates for alternative health strategies, was commended at the recent “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) summit in Washington.
Vice President JD Vance praised Kennedy’s courage to question established scientific practices, asserting that history often shows experts may be mistaken. “Among all the initiatives your team has undertaken, the most crucial is raising inquiries that haven’t been addressed by the government for a long time,” Vance said during a fireside discussion with Kennedy.
Kennedy’s MAHA initiative is viewed by White House officials as “a vital component of our success in Washington.” Under his guidance, the health department is implementing sweeping reforms, including a reevaluation of vaccine policies, workforce reduction, and reassessing advisory roles. A significant part of Kennedy's agenda involves phasing out artificial additives in food, combating ultra-processed products, and revising national dietary guidelines to tackle chronic illnesses at their source.
However, detractors argue that Kennedy’s rejection of widely accepted scientific consensus is undermining trust in conventional medicine. Progressive health advocacy groups have criticized the summit as an “ego-stroking forum” that threatens public health. Kennedy and his supporters maintain that their policies are supported by evidence, seeking to explore alternative solutions to longstanding health issues.
The MAHA summit attracted a varied audience, including Trump officials, biotech innovators, and wellness advocates, with discussions covering artificial intelligence in healthcare, aging reversal, and enhancing food quality. This event follows a similar meeting in Austin, Texas, organized by Children’s Health Defense, which Kennedy formerly directed, addressing vaccine safety and chronic disease prevention.
MAHA Action, a group supporting Kennedy, proclaimed the event a “significant milestone in U.S. health policy,” representing years of efforts to realign national healthcare priorities. “Today represents the culmination of a movement 40 years in the making,” remarked Tony Lyons, president of MAHA Action.
While opinions remain divided regarding Kennedy’s tactics, the White House’s endorsement signifies a noteworthy change in the U.S. public health strategy, stressing innovation, scrutiny of conventional medical practices, and a readiness to consider unconventional experts.
