Tripura Student Arrested in Assault Case Involving Minor

In a disturbing incident in Khowai district, a Class 9 student has been taken into custody in Tripura for allegedly assaulting a six-year-old girl. This shocking event has sent ripples through the community, leading police to initiate a thorough inquiry under the POCSO Act.

As reported by the police, the incident unfolded while the girl was at home with her older sister. Their parents were away at work when the accused allegedly lured the child over with the promise of flowers.
