The much-anticipated horror-comedy, Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, has made its global streaming debut on Amazon Prime Video. Already a box-office success, the film harmoniously intertwines supernatural thrills, comedy, romance, and drama, promising a unique and engaging cinematic experience.
Set against a vividly constructed mythical landscape, the plot centers around Alok (Ayushmann), who becomes humanity's beacon of hope, along with Tadaka (Rashmika), a mystical creature in a world overshadowed by darkness. Together, they face Yakshasan (Nawazuddin), a menacing figure whose powers threaten to envelop the planet in an endless gloom. This film excels at juxtaposing the intensity of supernatural horror with humor and tender moments, appealing to a wide range of viewers.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under Maddock Films and directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the screenplay is crafted by Niren Bhatt, Arun Fulara, and Suresh Mathew. In addition to the main cast, the movie features renowned actors Paresh Rawal and Faisal Malik, along with cameos from popular figures like Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Banerjee, Nora Fatehi, and Malaika Arora, contributing to the film's allure.
