Tere Ishk Mein Maintains Box Office Momentum on Day 5

Post by : Mina Rahman

On Day 5, Tere Ishk Mein displayed remarkable performance at the Indian box office, generating an estimated ₹10.25 crore, which elevates its overall net collection to around ₹71 crore across all languages. Starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, the film stands out as a top contender of the month, successfully engaging audiences even through mid-week changes.

Starting strong, the film raked in ₹16 crore on its opening Friday, followed by ₹17 crore on Saturday and a peak of ₹19 crore on Sunday. Monday saw a predictable drop to ₹8.75 crore, but by Tuesday, it rebounded impressively, thanks to buoyant word-of-mouth. The Hindi version remains the strongest contributor, while the Tamil counterpart maintains steady support contributing to a robust multi-language performance.

Tere Ishk Mein is currently outpacing Dhanush’s earlier 2025 film Idli Kadai, which gathered around ₹50 crore domestically. Its sights are now set on Kuberaa's benchmark of ₹91 crore nationwide. Given the prevailing trends, Aanand L. Rai’s directorial effort is poised to surpass this milestone, potentially marking Dhanush’s biggest success this year.

Directed by Aanand L. Rai, the film intricately navigates through a love story steeped in obsession, longing, and emotional depth. Both Dhanush's compelling performance and Kriti Sanon's significant presence have gained widespread acclaim. A particular review lauded, “Dhanush delivers a fantastic portrayal of Shankar's emotional arc, showcasing remarkable depth. His on-screen chemistry with Kriti adds substantial weight to the film, while Kriti’s nuanced portrayal of a complex character shines throughout.”
