Sunita Shares Late Discovery of Govinda’s Hospital Stay

Post by : Mina Rahman

Two days after Govinda's discharge from CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai, his wife Sunita Ahuja disclosed that she became aware of his hospital visit only through an online interview. In a recent vlog, she mentioned that she was away and uninformed about the late-night health scare.

Govinda's Fainting Incident

Earlier this week, the actor fainted at home shortly after midnight and was promptly taken to the hospital. Following tests and medical observation, he was released later that day. Govinda reassured the media, stating he was “completely fine” upon his release.

While traveling during the incident, Sunita expressed her disconnection from the situation. In response to a fan's inquiry, she said,
“Govinda is totally fit. He had been working out for his upcoming movie Duniyadaari when he fainted.”

Sunita on His Over-Exertion

After watching her husband's post-hospitalization interview, Sunita revealed that the fainting spell stemmed from fatigue due to excessive exercise.
“He’s doing well now, so please don’t worry,” she comforted their fans.

Govinda confirmed post-release that the fainting incident was due to “fatigue” and highlighted the importance of incorporating yoga and pranayam into daily life.

Sunita Comments on Govinda’s Apology Regarding the “Chor” Incident

Sunita Ahuja has been in the spotlight for her candid remarks about her marriage to Govinda, including a recent podcast incident where she used the word “chor.” Following public backlash, Govinda offered an apology to a family priest, which Sunita stated she did not support.

She clarified:
“I felt uncomfortable with how Govinda apologized with folded hands. I didn't name anyone. I simply shared my personal experience. If anyone was offended, I apologize to them and all priests, but Govinda shouldn't have needed to apologize publicly.”

Sunita expressed disappointment that Govinda had to apologize due to her comments, emphasizing that he has several priests.

The Quiet Marriage of Govinda and Sunita

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja tied the knot in March 1987 but kept their relationship under wraps to protect his burgeoning career. Their daughter, Tina, arrived in 1988, after which their marriage became public, followed by their son Yashvardhan in 1997.
