Post by : Mara Rahim

The Bahrain National Arabian Horse Beauty Championship commenced at the Military Sports Union arena within the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club in Al Raffah. This event marks the inaugural activity of the Arabian Horse Beauty Committee under the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) for the 2025–2026 season, highlighting Bahrain’s commitment to preserving its rich legacy of purebred Arabian horse breeding.

The first day spotlighted qualifying and finals across three key categories: yearling fillies (A and B), junior fillies (A and B), and mares (A and B). A panel comprising five judges along with members from the disciplinary committee and arena directors—validated by a European Arabian horse organization—ensured elevated standards of competition and judging for the participating stables.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of BREEF, emphasized the Federation's ongoing support for competitions centered on Arabian horse beauty, underscoring their significance to Bahrain’s culture. He remarked that the championship represents Bahrain's national enthusiasm for purebred Arabian horses, affirming the Kingdom’s reputation as a regional epicenter for Arabian horse breeding.

HH Shaikh Isa lauded the Arabian Horse Beauty Committee for their diligent preparations in anticipation of the season. He noted their efforts significantly advance the equestrian sports scene in Bahrain and motivate breeders and owners to enhance local breeding initiatives. He also commended media contributions for spotlighting equestrian events, thus fostering greater awareness and interest in the discipline.

This championship enjoys the backing of numerous partners and sponsors that enrich community involvement while enhancing the sports sector. HH Shaikh Isa expressed his appreciation to the event’s diamond partners, including Bapco Energies and Al Salam Bank, alongside platinum sponsor BINAA, gold sponsor stc, and silver sponsors like Alba, the Economic Development Board, GPIC, and Bahrain Marina. Bronze partners comprise Bahrain Development Bank, Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo, SICO, BBK, Ascon, Al Safwa, and The Arabian Horse.

In the yearling fillies segment, Ghaliya Al Haram from Al Haram Stud clinched the gold medal, Anwar Al Harm of Al Haram Stud secured the silver, and the bronze went to Fareeda Al Raheel from Al Raheel Stud.

For the junior fillies, Aalia Al Haddar of Al Hayat Stud took home the gold, while Manayer, owned by Fadhel Haider, bagged silver, followed by Aali Queen Victoria from Zouheir Hawilo winning bronze.

In the mares category, Jihandra from Osama Al Haram earned the gold medal, De Asaliyah from Dubai Arabian Stud obtained silver, and bronze went to TFK Hala owned by Talal Fawzi Kanoo. These outcomes reflect the high level of competition and breeding excellence in Bahrain.

Beyond celebrating the allure and grace of Arabian horses, this championship fortifies Bahrain’s status in equestrian sports. With meticulous judging, robust sponsorship, and comprehensive media engagement, the event not only uplifts local breeding initiatives but also invites greater public participation in the Arabian horse community. BREEF is dedicated to further expanding these competitions, ensuring they remain a staple in Bahrain’s equestrian culture, eagerly anticipated by breeders, owners, and enthusiasts throughout the region.
