Spencer Lofranco, celebrated Canadian actor noted for his portrayal alongside John Travolta in the 2018 movie Gotti, has died at the young age of 33. His brother, Santino Lofranco, announced this heartbreaking news via Instagram on November 20, revealing that Spencer passed away on November 18.

In his heartfelt tribute, Santino expressed: “To the legend @roccowinning. My brother. You lived a life only some could dream of. You changed people’s lives, and now you are with God. I will always love you and miss you, Bear. RIP. October 18, 1992 – November 18, 2025.” His post included treasured photographs spanning Spencer’s childhood to recent days.

Hailing from Toronto, Spencer graced screen performances in seven films between 2013 and 2018. His notable roles included Angelina Jolie’s acclaimed 2014 film Unbroken, and Gotti, where he played the onscreen son of John Travolta in the gripping narrative about notorious New York mobster John Gotti. Other films featuring him include At Middleton (2013), Jamesy Boy (2014), Dixieland (2015), Home (2015), and King Cobra (2016).

Authorities are currently examining the circumstances surrounding Spencer’s sudden death in British Columbia, Canada.

In a 2014 interview, Spencer disclosed that he ventured into acting at 17 years old, despite his father’s hopes for him to follow a path in hockey or law. He dedicated a year at the New York Film Academy honing his craft before stepping into the film scene. He once remarked on his excitement to collaborate with Angelina Jolie in Unbroken, sharing, “Growing up, Angelina Jolie was my dream girl. Now I’m going to shoot a movie with her. It’s crazy.”

The untimely demise of Spencer Lofranco signifies the loss of a young talent who had begun to make a profound impact in the world of cinema.
