Skepticism Greets Sydney Sweeney–Scooter Braun Reports After Viral Central Park Clip

Post by : Mina Rahman

The purported relationship between actress Sydney Sweeney and music executive Scooter Braun has drawn widespread attention after a video from New York's Central Park showing the pair kissing circulated online. Media accounts indicate the two began seeing each other in September.

In the widely shared footage, the couple are shown speaking on a rock before a brief kiss. Social media reaction was swift and sceptical: users accused the scene of being contrived, posting comments such as “This looks so staged… it’s awkward,” “Omg so performative” and “Staged much?” Some suggested the encounter might be orchestrated or commercially motivated.

Observers also referenced Braun’s earlier controversies — notably his public disputes with singer Taylor Swift — as a factor in assessing the match. One commenter noted, “Definitely not on Taylor Swift's wedding list.”

Scooter Braun, 44, is a music producer and father of three from a previous marriage. Sources say the pair first crossed paths at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in Venice in June. Reports place them together over Labor Day weekend at a California lakeside, followed by a date night in Los Angeles later that month. Braun was reportedly present at Sweeney’s birthday, with insiders describing their relationship as having reached “full throttle” by late September.

At present, the seriousness of the relationship remains uncertain. The Central Park video continues to circulate and fuel online discussion and speculation.
