Mumbai Police Summons Siddhanth Kapoor Amidst Drug Investigation

Post by : Mina Rahman

Siddhanth Kapoor, known as the brother of Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor, has been called in by the Mumbai Police concerning a significant drug seizure case valued at ₹252 crore. He is expected to give his statement on November 25.

Previously, fellow individual Orhan Awatramani, commonly referred to as Orry, was also summoned but failed to present himself, asking for an extension. Both individuals were implicated by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Ghatkopar following the questioning of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, a key figure in this investigation.

Thus far, neither Siddhanth nor his sister Shraddha Kapoor have publicly addressed the ongoing situation. Notably, Siddhanth faced arrest in Bengaluru last year for drug-related offenses.

According to police sources, Shaikh confessed during his interview that he orchestrated lavish gatherings in Dubai and Mumbai, allegedly attended by numerous high-profile attendees, among them Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhanth Kapoor, the filmmaking duo Abbas–Mustan, rapper Loka, Orry, and NCP politician Zeeshan Siddique.

Orry has requested an extension until November 25 and has engaged his lawyer to address the summons. Recent sightings show him attending Travis Scott’s concert in Mumbai on November 19.

This case dates back to March 2024, when authorities executed a raid that resulted in the confiscation of 126.14 kg of mephedrone (known as MD), with an estimated value of ₹252 crore, from a production site located on a farm in Sangli district. Shaikh, who was deported from Dubai, acknowledged organizing rave parties for celebrities both within India and internationally.
