Post by : Bianca Suleiman

Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, the President and CEO of Frontier25 and The Climate Tribe, read her newest children's book, WHOOSH! A Story About the Sounds of Safety, to an audience of children and families at the Abu Dhabi Children's Library, in connection with the UAE's "We Will Emerge Stronger" initiative.

The narrative is designed to aid children in understanding unexpected sounds that might evoke confusion, anxiety, or fear. Through a straightforward yet captivating plot, WHOOSH! illustrates how families support each other during difficult times, how communities unite, and the efforts of dedicated individuals to ensure collective safety.

During the event, Sheikha Shamma engaged with the attendees, underscoring the significance of transparent communication and reassurances when children encounter situations they don’t fully grasp. The goal was to foster meaningful dialogues between parents and kids, while nurturing a sense of safety and self-assurance.

Referring to the initiative, Sheikha Shamma remarked that "We Will Emerge Stronger" aims to bring communities together with optimism and bravery, with an eye on the future. She pointed out that the upcoming generation is crucial for societal development and expressed hope that WHOOSH! would enable families to engage in reflection, open communication, and experience security together.

The book presents a gentle, age-appropriate method for addressing difficult topics with children. It fosters a supportive environment for discussions, helping young readers to navigate uncertainty while affording clarity, comfort, and reassurance when they need it the most.

With WHOOSH!, Sheikha Shamma seeks to bolster children's emotional health and enhance family connections, upholding the values of unity, resilience, and community support promoted by the UAE's "We Will Emerge Stronger" initiative.
