Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, attended the second edition of the Middle East and North Africa Bitcoin Conference (Bitcoin MENA 2025) held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The event, organized by ADNEC Group in partnership with global firm BTC Inc, gathered international leaders in digital technology, blockchain, and decentralized finance to explore the future of digital assets.
In his remarks, Sheikh Nahyan stated that the conference serves as a crucial platform for uniting experts, innovators, and decision-makers, further solidifying the UAE’s status as a global hub for emerging technologies. He emphasized that Bitcoin MENA 2025 demonstrates the UAE’s commitment to innovation, seamlessly blending traditional values with cutting-edge technology while boosting Abu Dhabi's stature in the global digital economy.
He acknowledged the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in promoting advancements in technology and digital innovation. Sheikh Nahyan noted that digital currencies are increasingly important for enhancing transparency, improving efficiency, and developing advanced financial systems to address future challenges.
The conference featured over 234 local and international speakers from 62 countries, alongside participation from more than 500 exhibitors. Experts engaged in discussions on trends regarding Bitcoin, blockchain, and the decentralized economy while sharing insights into the hurdles and opportunities within digital finance. The exhibition also highlighted innovations from mining operations, technology providers, investment platforms, and financial institutions, all aimed at facilitating the adoption of digital assets.
The event showcases Abu Dhabi’s expanding influence as a global hub for dialogue, innovation, and economic diversification. The collaboration between ADNEC, BTC Inc, and international participants fosters partnerships in one of the world's rapidly growing technology sectors, reinforcing the UAE’s vision for a knowledge-based economy and leadership in the global digital landscape.
