His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Crown Prince of Dubai and also the Chairman of the Supreme Space Council, recently met with several startup companies working in the UAE's space sector. The meeting showed how much Sheikh Hamdan cares about growing the national space industry and making the UAE a world leader in space technology.
During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan talked about the importance of working together. He said that both government and private companies need to join hands to build a strong and smart space industry. He also said that it's important to keep inventing new things and to invest in future technologies for long-term success.

He added that the space industry is very important for the future and for helping the UAE’s economy grow in a strong and lasting way. He said that the UAE is building a helpful and open environment for local companies to succeed and to bring in new ideas and investment. This will also make the UAE more competitive in the global space race.

The companies talked about their current work and future plans. They want to grow their businesses in the UAE and in other countries too. They all agreed that working closely with the government will help make the UAE's space industry stronger and more connected to the world.
These company leaders also said they are fully committed to the UAE’s space goals. They praised the country’s helpful laws and world-class infrastructure. They said these things make it easier for them to invest and grow.
They also appreciated programs like the Space Economic Zones, which help startups and companies work together, build new ideas, and make long-term plans for success in space.
Important people at the meeting included:
Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports and Secretary-General of the Supreme Space Council.
