Actor and singer Shehnaaz Gill, best known from Bigg Boss 13, recently discussed how the tragic loss of her close friend and co-contestant Sidharth Shukla has profoundly altered her life. In a heartfelt podcast conversation, she opened up about her emotional evolution and the significant lessons she carries from the late actor.

The sudden demise of 40-year-old Sidharth Shukla in 2021 due to a cardiac incident left countless fans devastated and had a deep impact on those who loved him, particularly Shehnaaz, who had a cherished bond with him since Bigg Boss 13.

Shehnaaz expressed that Sidharth's passing marked an essential turning point in her outlook and personal growth. “Sidharth has imparted a great level of maturity to me. After everything happened, I have evolved. Otherwise, I would still be the carefree person from Bigg Boss — oblivious and carefree. That innocence shifted after his departure,” she revealed.

Shehnaaz often reminisces about her earlier self from Bigg Boss 13, pondering the stark contrast to who she is now. “Sometimes, I watch those old clips and think, ‘Who was I? Was I really like that?’ Life has changed me completely. That girl was spontaneous and full of joy. Life has transformed, and my brother changed me as well,” she noted.

She further reminisced how Sidharth played a crucial role in guiding her career path. She shared a touching memory of how he encouraged her to stay in Mumbai instead of returning to Chandigarh after Bigg Boss 13. “I was set to leave for Chandigarh, but he said ‘You’re not going back.’ He managed everything for me here. I was new to the city and focused on self-improvement, gradually building my career,” she recounted.

This pivotal choice has been instrumental in shaping her life and career trajectory. Since then, Shehnaaz has diligently worked to define herself in the entertainment industry, appearing in various music videos and films, and is now foraying into Punjabi cinema with Ikk Kudi.

She previously shared her possessiveness over Sidharth, stating, “I don’t care about appearances, yet I felt possessive because he was extraordinarily handsome. It’s only natural to feel insecure when someone looks that good.”
