During the Dabangg Tour held in Qatar, Salman Khan opened up about his fitness journey and revealed who has been his greatest inspiration since the 1990s. He mentioned that a photograph of Dharmendra served as a source of motivation for gym enthusiasts.
While on stage, Salman expressed, “Before me, there was only one person — Dharam ji. He is like a father to me. I love him and hope he will make a return soon.”
The sentiment is reciprocated; Dharmendra has referred to Salman as his “third son,” reflecting the warmth of their relationship. Fans recalled a cherished moment when an old clip from Bigg Boss surfaced, where Dharmendra remarked, “This is my son. I have three sons — all are emotional and strong, but he leans a bit more towards me,” causing laughter from Salman and Bobby Deol.
Dharmendra also commended Salman for his vibrant personality and dancing abilities, saying he brings color to the stage and enjoys dancing just as much as he does.
Earlier this month, Salman was spotted outside Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, where Dharmendra was receiving treatment. The veteran actor, aged 89, was discharged on November 12 and is currently recuperating at home. Sunny Deol’s team requested fans and media to respect Dharmendra's privacy and thanked everyone for their love and prayers.
