Veteran actress Sally Kirkland, whose Oscar-nominated role in the 1987 film Anna captivated audiences, has died at 84. Her representative, Michael Greene, confirmed her passing on Tuesday morning at a hospice in Palm Springs, California.
Kirkland faced numerous health challenges in recent months, leading friends to launch a GoFundMe to assist with her medical expenses after suffering significant injuries, including fractures and subsequent infections.
A Trailblazing Career Across Various Mediums
Birthed in New York City, Kirkland's early exposure to art and fashion came through her mother, a fashion editor for major magazines.
