The year 2025 marks a significant chapter for Indian cinema. IMDb's latest annual report reveals that Saiyaara, featuring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, stands out as the most favored Indian film of the year. Produced by YRF and helmed by Mohit Suri, the film has earned international praise for its engaging narrative and hit soundtrack.

IMDb's rankings are derived from page views by over 250 million global visitors each month, indicating genuine audience engagement with films and series.

The second position is held by the animated feature Mahavatar Narsimha, followed by Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava in third place, and Rishab Shetty's Kantara: A Legend at fourth. The top ten also features Rajinikanth's Coolie, the Tamil film Dragon, Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, Shahid Kapoor's Deva, Ajay Devgn's Raid 2, and the Malayalam film Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra.

In the realm of web series, Aryan Khan's The Ba*ds of Bollywood leads the rankings. Aryan shared, “Achieving the number one spot feels fitting. It indicates that the series transcends casual viewing and resonates in cultural discussions.”

Following close is Vikramaditya Motwane’s Black Warrant in second place, while Paatal Lok Season 2 secured third. The fourth spot belongs to fan-favorite Panchayat Season 4, with Mandala Murders and Khauf in the fifth and sixth spots, and Special Ops Season 2 and Khakee: The Bengal Chapter held the seventh and eighth positions. The rankings are largely comprised of crime thrillers.

Yaminie Patodia, Head of IMDb India, remarked that this year's selections underscore remarkable creativity and diversity across various languages and formats in Indian cinema.
