Actress Rashmika Mandanna has conveyed her heartfelt thanks to her rumored fiancé, Vijay Deverakonda, following his public endorsement of her new film, The Girlfriend.

On her X account, Rashmika expressed, “This is something powerful and significant. It’s a tough watch, but so eloquently articulated! Thank you. It's a SLOW BURN that LASTS LONG.”

She shared that Vijay has been involved with the film since its early stages and hopes he will take pride in her performance.

Previously, Vijay had posted the trailer of The Girlfriend, lauding the film and commending the efforts of the cast and the crew. His message read:

"I believe they’ve crafted something meaningful. Important. Something challenging to digest. The performances are exceptional, and what @23_rahulr has orchestrated with @iamRashmika and @Dheekshiths and @ItsAnuEmmanuel will surely leave a mark. Tomorrow, we’ll witness this with #TheGirlfriend; go witness it in theatres and reflect on it. Sending love and big hugs to the entire cast and crew."

The shared admiration between Rashmika and Vijay surfaces amidst rumors that the Dear Comrade co-stars recently became engaged. Sources indicate their engagement occurred in a private ceremony hosted at Vijay Deverakonda’s home in Hyderabad on October 3, with close family present. Although the couple hasn't officially confirmed the engagement, reports indicate that their wedding might be scheduled for February 2026.

On the professional side, The Girlfriend, featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Dheekshith Shetty, made its theatrical debut on November 7. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, this Telugu film delves into the intricacies of a romantic relationship, centering on a girlfriend who requests a "small break," while Dheekshith’s character demonstrates erratic red-flag behavior, setting a dramatic emotional tone.

In addition, Rashmika is preparing for her upcoming major role in Cocktail 2.
