Ranveer Singh Reflects on Udaipur: The Birthplace of His Love for Deepika

Post by : Mina Rahman

The love story of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone stands out as one of Bollywood's most iconic narratives. Their connection traces back to 2013, sparked during the filming of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela. This film not only achieved significant acclaim but also marked the start of a personal journey that the couple generally keeps private.

At the recent sangeet of Netra Mantena, the daughter of Padmaja and Rama Raju Mantena, held in Udaipur on November 21, Ranveer offered an intimate look into how their love story began. Speaking to the attendees, he reflected on their initial experiences in Udaipur, a city that unknowingly played a pivotal role in molding their romance.

Ranveer highlighted how the lengthy filming schedule in Udaipur led to their closer bond. Although both stars were flourishing in their respective careers, the shared long working hours, artistic collaboration, and the film's emotional depth enhanced their connection, eventually blossoming into a love affair. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Rajasthan's vibrant colors, bustling markets, and timeless architecture, their friendship naturally deepened.

With genuine affection, Ranveer described Udaipur as a fortuitous charm in their romantic journey. The audience erupted in applause as he reflected on their decade-long relationship, which has now culminated in thirteen years together and seven years of marriage, alongside their role as proud parents.

The couple tied the knot on November 14, 2018, in a private ceremony at Lake Como, Italy. It wasn't until five years later that they publicly shared their wedding footage, giving their fans a rare insight into their personal moments and vows.

This past September, they welcomed their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh. While they maintain a protective privacy around her, they chose to reveal her face during Diwali, sharing a family photograph that quickly garnered widespread attention during the festive season.

Ranveer's nostalgic sharing at the sangeet added depth to a saga that followers have cherished for years—a heartfelt tale that reflects a genuine bond crafted with time, trust, and the balancing act of their careers and family life.
