Dhurandhar Generates Impressive ₹126 Cr, A Triumph for Ranveer Singh

Post by : Mina Rahman

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is holding strong at the box office, enjoying a remarkable run following a record-setting weekend. On Monday, the film garnered ₹23 crore, pushing its total to ₹126 crore. Its strong performance is notable not only in major multiplexes but also in smaller markets, where audience attendance surged significantly over the weekend.

Opening day proved electrifying, with Friday witnessing a collection of ₹28 crore, surpassing all expectations and setting the stage for a blockbuster weekend. Saturday’s earnings reached ₹32 crore, reinforcing its box office dominance, while Sunday shattered previous records with a remarkable ₹43 crore, culminating in an opening weekend total of ₹103 crore. This launch marks Dhurandhar as one of the year’s most successful starts.

Critics and the audience have lauded the film for its captivating plot and Ranveer Singh’s dynamic performance. Industry experts attribute much of the film’s success to favorable word of mouth, which has drawn increasing crowds throughout the weekend. While multiplexes reported substantial attendance, heartland areas, which initially saw slower turnout on Friday, experienced significant increases on Saturday and even more so on Sunday, with outstanding revenue collected.

The narrative revolves around Ranveer Singh’s character, a daring agent confronting four dangerous Pakistani terrorists. Although speculation on social media regarding character identities has circulated, the creators maintain that the story is fictional, albeit loosely inspired by real events. Ranveer Singh's portrayal, particularly in action scenes, has garnered widespread acclaim, remaining a major attraction for moviegoers.

The triumph of Dhurandhar accentuates the significance of compelling content and immersive storytelling within Bollywood. The blend of Ranveer Singh’s star appeal and a riveting plot has resonated notably with audiences, establishing the film as a considerable box office achievement. With such encouraging momentum, Dhurandhar is likely to sustain its success in the weeks ahead.
