Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana: Part 1 is generating significant buzz in Bollywood, and for good reason. With a stellar cast featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Sunny Deol portraying Lord Hanuman, the film aims to deliver a grand reimagining of the beloved Hindu epic, hitting theaters during Diwali 2026. Enthusiasts are eager to witness the fusion of tradition with modern filmmaking techniques and impressive performances.
Reports indicate that the cast has invested tremendous effort and made notable sacrifices for this ambitious undertaking. The scale of production necessitated months of preparation and training to embody their respective characters authentically.
Ajinkya Deo, who takes on the significant role of Sage Vishwamitra, shared his insight about collaborating with Ranbir Kapoor on this monumental project.
He remarked, "From the onset, Ranbir made me feel at ease. He often would say, 'Sir, that was a beautiful shot!'—which I truly appreciated. He even joked about my age, yet it was his kindness that resonated most with me. He presents his genuine self without any pretense. "
Ajinkya elaborated on how Ranbir's authenticity shines through on screen. "Ranbir is very much himself, which is why he resonates with audiences. There's an unfiltered connection as he doesn’t put up walls. In past eras, actors often had layers between themselves and their audience, but today it’s all about that direct, real interaction."
The narrative of Ramayana: Part 1 promises to explore Lord Rama’s early years, his education under Sage Vishwamitra, and his ascent as Ayodhya's hero. Viewers can look forward to stunning visual effects, intricate settings, and the powerful performances from an all-star cast.
As Ramayana: Part 1 prepares for its release on Diwali 2026, plans are already in motion for Ramayana: Part 2 to debut on Diwali 2027, wrapping up this epic saga. With Nitesh Tiwari directing and such a committed cast, this film is poised to make a significant cultural mark and set new standards for mythological narratives in the Indian film industry.
