Weekend Weather Outlook for Qatar: Rain, Mist, and Fog Predicted

Post by : Mara Rahim

The Qatar Meteorology Department has released its weather update for the weekend spanning Thursday, December 4, 2025, to Saturday, December 6, 2025. Residents and visitors should be prepared for a mix of weather conditions, with temperatures fluctuating between a low of 20°C and a high of 28°C across the nation.

Thursday, December 4, is anticipated to be partly cloudy with minimal chances of rain during the daytime. However, nighttime may bring hazy skies and mist, which could decrease visibility in certain areas. Travelers are urged to exercise caution when driving at night as fog and mist potentially pose challenges.

On Friday, December 5, changing weather patterns are expected, especially in the Eastern regions of Qatar. Offshore areas may see thundery rain alongside strong winds, creating possible difficulties for coastal and maritime activities. In coastal Eastern areas, conditions will mostly be partly cloudy with slight rain probabilities. Mist and fog are also likely in the early mornings and late at night, necessitating caution for drivers.

Saturday, December 6, is projected to begin with reduced visibility, lasting into the morning hours. As the day unfolds, much of Qatar will experience partly cloudy skies, though fog and mist may linger in low-lying areas. Skies should remain partly cloudy in the evening, offering a mix of pleasant and cooler weather ideal for outdoor activities.

This weekend’s weather report emphasizes the need to stay informed about local updates, as strong winds and thundery rainfall could disrupt outdoor plans, particularly in coastal and offshore regions. Boaters, fishermen, and other maritime professionals are advised to remain vigilant and adhere to safety measures. Drivers should be particularly cautious of fog and mist reducing visibility, increasing the risk of accidents.

This weekend will bring a blend of partly cloudy skies, mist, fog, and scattered rainfall in select areas. Despite these conditions, daytime temperatures will remain comfortable for various activities. Evening and night temperatures are expected to dip slightly, setting a cooler mood nationwide.

The Qatar Meteorology Department is committed to continuously monitoring and updating weather predictions to safeguard public safety and readiness. Citizens and visitors are encouraged to refer to official forecasts prior to traveling, especially for outdoor or marine-related activities, to mitigate disruptions from unpredictable weather changes.
